Yeah I'm sure others have thought it ment distributor and were caught out....Dist stands for distribution and I am fairly sure it means the flywheel end. One of the more knowledgeable ones will fix this for you! I cannot remember but had same q when I built mine.
So the arrow points to the timing belt end?Distributor and flywheel are at the same end. It means the FRONT of the engine, the timing belt end.
