Paris is (was?) known as 504freak on Aussiefrogs. I bought my 504 off him and he's done quite a bit of work on the car since. I guess you could say Paris specializes in 504s and 505s, especially upgrades to 504s such as power steering or 5 speeds. He usually has a good supply of parts and knows 504s inside out.

There is also Evan from Evan's Classic Car Garage, Factory 2 61 Lexton Rd, Box Hill, VIC 3129. Phone(03) 9897 1956. Evan usually services my brother's 504 and Hayden is always happy with the work he does. A good bloke too.

Sam Mechkaroff is another Pug mechanic; does anyone know if he is still operating?

(If you're in that neighbourhood) check out Paul Stratmann and his guys in Swan St, Burnley at Universe Motors ph 9428 0598. And if you're not, try Paul Groom at Auto Paris in Box Hill or Colin Stark at Alpine Affaire in Ringwood, as noted already. Never been dissatisfied with any of them.

My memory tells me I normally pay somewhere around 180 for a service. But having a 205 gti means that there was usually something extra that I wanted fixed.
