Melbourne Mechanic

Can anyone recommend a Peugeot mechanic around Cowes?

What a man I put petrol in my diesel 308 wagon DOH He came out and it was like watching a true craftsman at work,he fixed it at my house and got it running perfect after removing every mm of petrol . I have learnt my lesson but was so lucky to come across him to help me Thank you Salman and thank you Aussie Frogs

P.s He even made me a little fitter after two runs of getting diesel on the push bike : )

Yes another big thank you to Salman. Wolfgang introduced me at the Citroen event last month. Generally when hot, my 306 cab engine would start to die, recover, die, which made it dangerous to drive in slow moving traffic.

I'd had a couple of the mechanics listed here look at it already to no avail. Salman methodically made sensible fuel line checks. Fuel filter replaced. Check. Peugeot Project 2000 identified a fuel regulation and oxygen sensor problem. Stepper motor replaced check. And bypass cleaned out and air filter replaced check. I had the rattling catalytic converter replaced. Check. PP2000 still showed sensor issue. Replaced check. And for good measure new plugs. The car is running beautifully.

I remain extremely surprised that basic things like filters and software diagnosis were not undertaken by the others. Again thank you Salman - there are a few specialists out there that need to lift their game. Felt I was paying a psychologist rather than an interested, competent mechanic.

George drives a 1997 Saab 9000, loves Citroens, maintains the Renaults of a local business and has done a Mi16 conversion on a Peugeot 205 ("goes like a rocket!!") . He doesn't understand why other mechanics are afraid of European cars. George concedes that getting parts sometimes takes time or ingenuity for older cars, but mostly you've just got to know which supplier to call.

very informational points, thinking to try them by myself.
Hello Karen, you sound like a very nice person! Are you interested in rusty, stinky old European cars too? We all love them (yum, yum).

Which informational points particularly caught your imagination? You certainly should try them "by yourself" - you wouldn't want to share the experience with any of your friends or associates!

BTW - do you have a brain, or are you made of wires and transistors (like the rest of us here on Planet Zot)?
