For the Renault 15/17 Fans

In the Alpine A310 workshop manual , Alpine state that both the carburettored and fuel injected motors develop the same horsepower.
i believe that the fuel injection was installed to make the car more tractable.

Or just recognising they should move with the times? There was a trend developing, although I take your point too.
