When this car was first purchased by my late father in 1983 from the original owners (in Sydney), the front belts had been converted to retractable prior to my father purchasing the car. The rears where factory lap sash.
I upgraded the belts about 5 years ago. So I just replaced like for like in the front using the mounting bolt at the base of the B pillar. The belt mechanism is attached to a metal bracket that is then bolted into the floor
The rears were a little more tricky as the previous owners has cut holes in the parcel shelf for speakers leaving me to scratch my head a bit to work out how to mount the belt mechanism. Got there in the end.
