G'day,

here's a couple of direct download sites that I have posted before but have probably died in the recent calamity.....

Autodata r18
http://d.scribd.com/docs/v5472vcm6hw5bl0agd2.pdf

Dialogys in .nrg format - big files !
http://forum.logan.ru/files/dialogys/ link no good see below

tested, and no dire troubles ensued :D

I'll post a few more later as I find them on this mess I call a hard drive. Let's grow this one for a ready reference !

cheers,
Bob

ps there's a mountain of "stuff" on scribd but you have to jump through a few hoops to download via their system nowadays - trick is to note the the actual file location, not the viewing location, and post that.

Dialogys have been locked up, alternative is at http://web.archive.org/web/20080705203627/http://forum.logan.ru/files/dialogys/

Dialogys one works. The first one gives blank white page here. Got it to work in plain old IE, other fancy browsers don't like it.

G'day HKP,

the first one, Autodata manual, is a direct file download [.pdf], just right click and pick save as, probably a white page cos your browser was busy fetching the file......

The dialogys might better saved for when u are at work and using the bosses bandwidth.....

Bob

G'day gregord,

might be dead link that one.....

Also better to search out the actual download link rather than the download page especially as sometimes you get things you don't want from many/most? of the download pages out there. Even when the direct link is dead you can retrieve lots of them, not all, through the Way Back Machine -

http://www.archive.org/index.php

very useful, or search for the file name with Google to locate alternative sites with the same file. The download path is stored with Firefox in your download panel, just right click the download of interest and pick copy link, you can do that when the progress graph is running as well. Store the result with the download, it's property box is a handy spot - if the holes are grayed out remove the read-only tick, close the box, and reopen.

Also you might come across sites like http://www.matrasport.dk/ it's not real obvious but there are a number of pdf's hiding in there like the factory 8js motor manual

www.matrasport.dk/Cars/Espace/vault/J63/MRmotj8s.pdf

but, if you paste that one into the browser get panel and shorten it by removing the file name

www.matrasport.dk/Cars/Espace/vault/J63/

you will get direct access to their server page index, nice one, and DownThemAll will gather them all at once if you are that way inclined. The parent directory even leads you back to another group of pdf's. There are many sites like this if you poke about a bit.

Bob

Manuals reference

G'day,

here's an exel file to download and update and put back from time to time listing all[?] the factory manuals. Basically sourced from calameo, page by page with a little software help, lots of them on this site you can't download.

Thinking out loud, could become confusing with lots of different copies of this exel file in here, maybe just send me a pm/email with your new link and I'll keep updating this one ?

cheers,
Bob

Thanks for that Bob thats very useful. Has anyone found away to copy them. If so can you detail how.

G'day Sunroof,

the obvious way to handle them is to get the image to a decent size and hit PrntScrn, which puts the whole screen onto your clipboard, paste the result into photoshop or something, edit, save.

Results might be better also if you set your monitor to its best resolution.

Its a painful way to handle it, but if you really want the data from there it might be the way to go.

Otherwise, as with all these type of sites, note the filename and see if it lives somewhere else as well, with Google. I've found a lot of this stuff that causes you pain to get has been lifted from somewhere else that is easy - some of them want you to pay for gear that has been lifted from Project Gutenberg !

Bob

J6 & J7 etc motors

G'day,

there is a manual at http://en.renault-club.cz/graphics/manuals/165/MRMOTJE.PDF which lacks the first few pages.

Here is the first page and the index page, rest is health warnings 'n stuff.

You should be able to use PDFTKbuilder to join this pdf to the front of the one you downloaded above, maybe, perhaps :D

cheers,
Bob

Megane stuff

G'day,

here's a whole directory or three of Megane material.....

www.uas-bg.com/meganii/eng/

all looks to be in english as well :approve:

There is a couple of other subdirectories if you step back up the chain, "diesel" & "filter", but I think that all the stuff in www.uas-bg.com/meganii/ directory is RU or something.

Have fun

cheers,
Bob
