Must be time I brought the R8 down to meet the new addition!
Hi all, here is an update on the R8. Front glass has gone back in along with wipers.Then... I broke my collarbone and ribs so Dad has been battling away with no help from me! He fitted rear glass!!! Also tail lights all working as they should. Now he is doing the interior, has fitted hood lining and carpet on parcel shelf as well as making a muffler to suit.
Next is floor carpet and door glass and winders. I will be back on board next week. Doesn't a car start looking right with glass in it?
Hi all, the R8 is getting close now! Dad's been doing interior with all the best bits from a few old interiors and doing a great job!
Last few bits are on the exterior, rechromed door handles etc. Doing carpet now, then front seats, wheel alignment, new tyres..

Well...getting close to 5 years of having the R8 we had our first test drive!!! As expected there are a few teething issues though on a whole very happy! When it was my turn Dad kept telling me to go harder...never say that to me! It revved freely to 6500rpm and the gearing of the big four speed makes first and second very punchy. Still a bit to do but the end is in sight.
Nice work. You'll have to decide what to do with it now. I'd want to drive it a lot! High time I slipped down with the R8 for a joint photo shoot!
New tyres on rims look excellent size, should handle very nice. Mine work very nice on the long trips, NICE !!!
Down in Bridgetown again for Christmas. Just resting, so no real work.
But wanted some pictures of the R8. The car is very nice indeed (in the flesh).
What Clint asks for is what John then does. Things like hidden wiring in the engine compartment. A plain, original looking dash. Wheel arch flares that look normal to cope with wheels and tyres combination.
