progress is slow but some is being made. aired up the tyres finally, two by two ferrying them to the nearest gas station, all were at ~14 psi so it's driving considerably better after that's done. one seemed to have a broken valve, so lucky that it came with 6 wheels, got a spare for once lol. also got to finally have a look at the brakes & suspension bits. Rear seems to be in good working order, all bushes seem alright, no weeping from any of the hoses
the same cannot be said of the front, which has several issues apparent.
both front brake flex lines are weeping fluid, not the best
and the driver's front cv shaft boot is split, so that will be needing fixed before any real driving can be done.
bushes and tie-rod ends, ball joints etc seem ok though, so that's a definite plus.
fuel system is buttoned up and running solid, got the seats all back in, been bleeding the coolant system off and don't seem to be having any cooling issues, but it's been smoking blue once up to temp, i'm hoping it's something bung with the pcv system, because if it's the valve stem seals that's a hell of a job, and i'm hoping to drive away soon. maybe i'm lucky and it's just the remnants of the varnished fuel that i couldn't get from the tank & lines.
also of the few block rips i've done with the tyres inflated boy howdy this car is fun on the bun.
list of tasks is still long but getting shorter, need to figure out why the indicators don't work, and what's wrong with the driver's headlight, new winshield wiper blades, wash, make driver's seat less awful, register, hoon.
does anyone have a cool shift knob? thinking to grab either a DBZ dragon ball knob, or an old holden or pug one with a lion on it.
