Unfortunately, there is no such recall for his VIN.there was a recall for the adblue pump. Was this recall carried out on your car? If not, I'd ask about it.
I believe it's a 2015 registered car - at the time Peugeot Australia only offered a 3yr, 100,000km warranty (whichever comes first) for passenger vehicles. How is a car with only 46k km on the clock out of warranty?

A load of semi-retirees arguing about health issues and climate change isn't going to fix this one, Ken.
Good news!
It turns out this is a high failure unit and Peugeot France has extended the warranty to 5 years on this unit.
Many thanks to people on this forum for advice, that led to a happy outcome.
Good to hear Brodie got the right result! I was even luckier in that the dealership I bought my car from went in to bat for me and I had the same ending.
A very pleasant change from some of the horror stories I could tell about past experiences with other dealerships.
Heard Toby Hagon on the radio recently saying that Peugeot wants to improve its after sales service.
I think a good start would be for Peugeot to review its eye watering prices on spares. I understand the fear of the lack of availability and cost of parts is a major contributor to poor resale value on French cars. Maybe reducing parts prices they could make more profit selling more cars and having more to service instead stinging their loyal repeat customers who must form the bulk of active members on this forum.
When the alternator needed replacing on my 405 some years ago a Peugeot specialist mechanic told me he could install either a Valeo one or a Peugeot one. When I asked what the difference was he said the Valeo one came in a Valeo box and the Peugeot one was the same Valeo alternator but in a Peugeot box. He said the difference in price was around $500.
Years later in country NSW when the alternator failed again the so-called sealed unit was repaired with the BMW and Toyota parts the local auto electrician had on hand for about half the price of the Peugeot cardboard box.
Hello All,The adblue box is covered out of warranty by direction of peugeot France and has nothing to do with the dealer if the dealer tells you that they are lying.
