I'll be driving last then, so as not to spoil you guys fun!

All the family's been goggling at the C3 today. I think we may have a few potential converts?

Merry Christmas cheers!

Derek.

What route are we taking?

12th is fine by me.

I'll be hitching a ride with someone.

Donkey ??? You bringing the Clio ???

Macquered ??? Your second choice. :p :p :p

Well so far it's like Jan 12Th, fellow froggers whos in?????????!!!!!
Route im not to fussed except for, please under 300K and on tarmac! please!
I like the sound of the one that goes north on the ol' pacific and then goes onto a pub or something?, im not too sure. GPS anyone?
Should we start a new thread/poll to see whos coming.??? 505turbo where are you?
What do you think, anyone?
Should we make anyone else aware of this in the GENERAL listings.
Xq

ps, how was chrissy for all any gifts for the froggies, i got new cloth/chamois.

I believe this is what we're doing - well that's what I said yes to!

We will meet at the M4 Maccas at 9am (yes 9am) leaving at 9:30-9:45am.

From there we head up the mountains on the Freeway which turns into the Great Western Hwy.

We follow that all the way to Lithgow. We will stop at a yet to be determined point to regroup about half way.

Once at Lithgow we will regroup again and then head back along the Bells Line of Road through Richmond and regroup again here (probably Maccas).

Alternatively we can start at Windsor Maccas and go OUT along Bells Line and come back along the Great Western and cut from Springwood across to Richmond.

From there we go through Windsor and over the bridge and turn LEFT at the pub on the corner just over the bridge and head out through Pitt Town and Cattai to Maroota where we turn LEFT again and go to Wisemans Ferry.

Here we stop for lunch/afternnon tea depending on the time.

From Wisemans Ferry we can go either:

Back towards Castle Hill along Old Northern Road

OR

Cross the river on the ferry and take the twisties to Peats Ridge. We regroup at Peats and then take the Old Pac back to Thornleigh Maccas.

This drive is approx 300-400km, so be ready.I would suggest that detailed drive. It really was a good drive.
I think the first option is probably the best, given people seem to want to keep it shorter. Personally, I don't mind a longer drive, but up to everyone else. What is it with Aussiefrogs and Maccas? disappro

Is this the Macca's near the Eastern creek Go-kart's???? just so i know?
I too prefer the shorter route.
Xq

ps Have all the other cruises started at macca's?

the 12th sounds good 2 me lets hope for this time more people can make it,and of cause their will be more 306`s :D

If we all agree on that route I will have some maps done of where we are going so noone can get lost (hopefully).

Maybe we can leave it open as to what people want to do once we leave Wiseman's Ferry??? Those whowant the shorter drive can head back down Old Northern Rd while those wanting the longer drive can go the Old Pac direction.

And yes that is the Maccas next to the kart centre at Eastern Creek. :)

Poll indicates that 62% think that Wollombi is best. Why are we going west?

Wondering were 505turbo is, he started this so its only fair we hear from him. West? im not sure, but perhaps we should wait till everyone's had time to sober and looose enough crissy stuffing to reach the keyboard!LOL.
West isn't for sure but, there is still time and Yelo has been very diligant and explained his route well. I feel that JAN 12th SUNDAY, is what most can do for. this is probably a good time. 505turbo and others were's your input??????....wereare you frogers. Xq

cheers!

mite have to give this cruise a miss unless it is really late january.

Hate to be a little b'stard but im sure both me and Deka have agreed to the 12Th???
Sorry to hear about your speeding fine 505Turbo.
How bout we do two one on the 12Th and one again in a different direction/time like late Jan/early Feb and we go a diferent way to the first one on the 12Th???
Id rather more of us go together, as i was wishing to finally put some names to faces.

Happy new year every one>

Hi everyone, HAPPY NEW YEAR

Given there's not been much action to do with this drive I'd better get on and get some of you guys motivated!

I think we should head west because then 2 pugs can come and join us at Lithgow. I do know the original poll suggested Wollombi, but I think enough people seem keen on heading west that that's what we should do this time?

If YEL020 can get some maps organised for us that'd be fantastic.

Time for a hands up ok??

Date: Sunday JAN 12th {edit I muffed the date!}
Meeting place: Maccas, M4 Motorway (Westbound side) at 9am for a 9.30-9.45am departure.
Route: As per YEL020's previous post, and we can decide at Wiseman's where to go from there (ie back to Sydney or keep going to Peat's Ridge.)

As xqisid said, we can have another drive with the Wollombi route in late Jan/Early Feb :D

505turbo you should come along and be a passenger! Then you can go in lots of cars and have no worries :)

Put your hands up soon :)
Derek.

!!HANDS UP!!!, both ere then.

re-i quoted to keep the post active.
Xq.

ps how many k's is it to lithgow?
and has yelo got time for maps.
If 505turbo needs a seat i've got two mates who want to join in and between three of us im sure we can spare a seat (i only have two seats in the pug, hence rollcage).

Ok boys, if we are going on the drive I suggested I will organise maps for everyone. Thats not a problem.

And if people have CB's they should bring them. A few of us have cheap handheld's that are very good when cruising to notify people of obstacles or other such nasties that may be encountered. They can be purchased for about $100 from your local electronics store.

I hope as many of you can come as possible and enjoy the drive. :)

YEL020,

Something like this will do it?
http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefront/3e126a7a076dd25e2741c0a87f9c0716/Product/View/D1748

Derek

I'll be happy to meet you guy's at Lithgow and give the ol' girl a run. I hope it's the 12th Jan and not the 12th Feb as i will have a bit of trouble getting Wednesdays off work roll_lau

cheers!

I should be able to make it. I've only got my "spare" slowish low compression 504 engine (ex turbo conversion with only about 7.8:1) in my 505 at the moment, while I do some things to my "warm" motor.

Hopefully I'll get my big bore exhaust manifold on by the 12th and maybe my single 40mm DCOE, to give me some chance of keeping up. I've also got a 4 speed in temporarily so it's kind of loud, but at least it does pull like a train in top with its 4.11:1 diff.

Dave
