I don't think it's fair to compare "The prince of darkness" Lucas electricals with the French. In my experience, the French systems are all far superior!

The french are known for having very advanced and technical electrics that may be why they are so complicated to deal with/repair/resolve??

I actually found French electrical stuff pretty robust.......English stuff wasn't "too" bad just poorly slapped together/illconcieved......
