Mike, I went there recently for a holiday. The wife actually accepted that I might want to search out 404s! Sadly I found the ONLY enthusiast with the help of the Pug importers. What a cool guy. He has a coupe, and a cab, also one of each 504 too. He told me that I had then seen 40% of the known mobile 404 at his house. We spotted a 404 U10 (they call them pick up) and he took me to it, now I had seen 60%. On the bus to the airport we spotted another U10, unknown to him, and he told me of a doctor with 2 Berline which he has been "going to restore" for at least 10 years. And how dumb am I, I did not get the vital numbers, but I have emailed him tonight.

My "new" familiale has 4897091, and 124340. as a factory roof rack too!

4303462, Sedan Carburator, from 12 November 1964, Rouge Amarante 1165, black interior, Noted rally vehicle modified with 505 2L engine, BA7 5 speed gearbox and limited slip 505 wagon differential. Roll Cage. Done more outback work than any other 404, been around Australia on dirt tracks for years. Completed Redex Re-run in 2003 and Ampol Rerun 2006 and Repco rerun in 2009, location: AUSTRALIA

Total: 1363 (of which 60 are in Australia and 53 in New Zealand).
