I had the pleasure of a drive in Carters Tatra in 2007, we had a CDI failure. Once cooled down we proceeded.Carter Willy had one of those Tatra air cooled V8, in his collection of weird European cars. I think it was a type 87, which became the T600.
I had a drive in it in August 2005 at his place.
Definitely weird but fun to drive.
The cooling fan is belt driven, and if it fails, the first warning you get is a cooked engine.
