Polishing (normally with a linishing belt, ie sandpaper) is the final step after grinding.
You can't get the recommended 10 to 15 micro inch RA with a grind stone.
I wonder how many people flush their crank out after it comes back from the engine shop?🤔

I once did flush a crank - it took an eternity to get the rubbish out of the passageways. It is in an engine now and all is well, but boy, if I hadn't put the effort in...
