It was reported that his lap times would have put him on the front row next to Max. Considering Norris P2 was only 2 tenths slower than Max shows Dan appears to have lost nothing during his wilderness years.

It’ll be great to see Danny back at the Hungarian GP but you have to feel for de Vries. He hasn’t been given much of a go and his team mate Tsunoda has hardly impressed in his years at the marque.
