Danny Richiardo is back

It was reported that his lap times would have put him on the front row next to Max. Considering Norris P2 was only 2 tenths slower than Max shows Dan appears to have lost nothing during his wilderness years.

That would put Perez under further stress. Interesting to see if Perez performs or folds. I suspect Red Bull fired Dan to pressure Perez and to give them options.
 
Dry track and test compound so maybe not entirely fair comparison to the race weekend. I'm pumped to see him back on track, pity the AT is a bit of a dog this year.
 
It’ll be great to see Danny back at the Hungarian GP but you have to feel for de Vries. He hasn’t been given much of a go and his team mate Tsunoda has hardly impressed in his years at the marque.
 
Did he drive Max’s car or Cheko’s?

I believe it was the Perez car with his settings to be a fair comparison, although the tyres themselves were different.
 
Clever by Red Bull. It also confirmed that his car was capable of a front row grid spot.
