Competition Day at DECA

nJm:
I wish I had been there!

Well I think from what I've read it would be unadvisable for me to take the 505GR with its 75 profile tyres onto the high speed track if I value my tyres (which are brand new!). Maybe in a few years when they are worn out (or I could just buy a set of worn tyres/wheel combos from a pug wrecker and stick em on :D )

If you follow standard practice & inflate your tyres an extra 5-8psi for high speed driving, you wont scrub your tyres, I used Falken 195-75-14's on my R10 for 2 years in Bitumen events only and they barely showed any wear at all. Aslight bluish colour on the outer edge of the tyre, Alan Jones of Mansons tyres said this showed the tyre were working well.
This goes for normal Highway/Freeway driving as well and vastly improves the response of the car, ask anyone who fits or supplies performance wheels & tyres.

Hmmn,

At 37PSI, my tyres still looked a little sore. After all that hot work up there, who knows what their actual pressure was at.

Cheers,

Justin
