If you have a Bluetooth scanner connected to your phone, I recommend using Car Scanner ELM OBD2. It has some Peugeot connection profiles, but for my 207s, I just use the generic Peugeot OBD profile. Under 'All Sensors' it will list everything support by the car and/or profile selected. I've purchased this app, so not sure if any limitations in the 'free' version.
As for the smoke, if the engine is hot, it may be just oil vapor caused from the positive crankcase pressure. Perhaps try removing the intake manifold and cleaning the valves as they can get caked in carbon. Best do with car raised off the ground and a 16mm socket on the crank bolt to rotate engine and cycle the closure of the valves for cleaning (clockwise only).
