Hi,

I need to repair a 306 rear beam. What's the best way to go about this? I figure buy a second hand one and the reco bits, reco it and then swap it in.

Main questions:
Any one (in Victoria, preferably) got a rear beam they don't want?

What are the 'reco bits' that I'll need? (This the same for a 306 N3? https://www.aussiefrogs.com/forum/index.php?threads/rearbeam-rebuild-components.88834/post-945773)

Where should I buy them (happy to go local if that's a good idea; also happy to order from O/S if that's a better option these days)

Is there anything I should do while the rear beams are being recoed/swapped that I didn't think of?

Cheers

Google, Youtube etc. They're identical in parts and procedure to a 205 beam. Parts used to be around $500 in total but they're far cheaper now thanks to production in eastern Europe. Ebay.

Thanks Peter, Mathew - yep, I've had a look at the material on the web and it seems fairly straightforward. And, yes, seems to be no trouble finding parts on eBay, if that's a sensible way to go.
