Does the GTi6 mate up neatly to the XU9J4, or will I need an adapter?

Either remove the dowels in the head, or machine/file the holes in the correct spot on the manifold. They're slightly offset.

paint job looks super well done
what are the four tabs on the lower sills ? are they reinforcing for something ?
are there two tanks in the side cavities or just on the left side? what goes in them ?
what about the four gal plates inside on the floor ?
did you weld/strengthen the chassis in any places ? B pillar etc, subframe maybe ??

The only poor metal in the car was in the firewall (replaced). The four points are rally jacking points all heavily reinforced. The two tanks are for 10 L of water to achieve rally compliance. There are also four reinforced plates to accommodate a roll cage.

The only poor metal in the car was in the firewall (replaced). The four points are rally jacking points all heavily reinforced. The two tanks are for 10 L of water to achieve rally compliance. There are also four reinforced plates to accommodate a roll cage.

Neither Emtron or Motec would run on that old donk without adding a cam sensor anyway. Any model from the Haltech range could however. Did the purchase include a completed loom?

Just love it. For me it is a work of nostalgic art rather than a track or rally vehicle.
