No Joy yet. Not sure where to start. Seems like it must be a connection issue. Have you heard of anyone else with this issue? I will have a look under the steering column tomorrow.
No unfortunately the same motor is used in Ford stuff but the injection ,turbo and a few other parts are different so not interchangeable at a reasonable costHey I'm new as well but I'm just looking for some info on a c5 that I own. So here's the details.
2009 citroen c5 2.7 l diesel with some sort of turbo.
Looking online this motor was put in a variety of vehicles ford (territory), jaguar landcruiser, citroen. Now I know very little about diesel and even less about french cars. But what I am wanting to do is replace the motor in my current c5. My primary thought is to take the motor out of a wrecked ford territory is this doable? is it a horrible idea? I'm wanting to select a motor from a wrecker and dump it in.
however, if it's doable what do I need to look out for. What do I need to know?
Looking for inspectorcloseau. My DSUper 1970 lost all its hydraulic fluid overnight. He lives nearby.Needs to be fixed but I don’t know any appropriate mechanics here.Qlso have a DS19 decapotable usine 1964.Both RHD.It’s only really a dust type cover don’t worry about it you can used silicone to stick it in but I’ve always left them out because that happens, well done figuring out what it was, it’s just that I’ve done a thousand cam belts but never seeing one before [emoji106]

Sadly Ken, new members cannot use Conversations/Messaging until they have reached a certain minimum number of posts. I'm not sure what the magic number is (minimum for accessing Toad Pond used to be 30), but keep posting M. Usine - we all want to know more about your cars - and you'll soon be able to contact the Inspector!Hi There. Welcome to Aussie Frogs.

In the member field, start typing Inspector Cl.... and his name will appear so click on that. Then type a message and click the send button. The forum will send him an email with your message of New Years Disappointment.
Cheers, Ken
PS I'm sure things will improve soon. This is when you need a 20litre pot of LHM on standby - buy one between you two from Onshore Oils at Hemmant in Brisbane.
A bit further south ….. Milano Motors Lismore. There is also a mobile french car technician. I’ll see if I can locate his details. So, here I go, asking for some Technical Advice as best I can.
This year I have finally taken the plunge and added two C5s (proper hydractive citroens) to the stable, complimenting my steel-sprung Cits.
The most recent purchase is a 2011 X7 with VIN VF7RDRHHML567815 with 120K kilometers on the odometer.
The other day, on the driveway at home, it presented me with "THIS".

Some time spent investigating images of the DW10CTED4 engines had me believing that it belonged in the centre of the harmonic balancer, so I jacked her up and took off the driver's side wheel, and did my best to put it back where it belonged.
How long it stayed where I had put it is unknown. Maybe 5 metres, or maybe a whole day involving 150 kilometres of driving. Anyway, it was BACK on the driveway on Monday!
The car seems to drive fine without it, so how important is it that THIS goes back to where it WAS, and why do you think that it has decided to "leave home" and refuse to go back? Did I not push it back the right way, or is there also some clip-thingo missing which would otherwise hold it in the proper place.
Second question is... where in the Brisbane-Gold Coast zone of the planet would I find a mechanic who knows these engines (I also have a 2009 with a DW10BTED4 version - 144K kilometers VIN VF7RDRHRJ54049636) but doesn't work for a Car Yard?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Am not fully confident that the pics that I think that I attached will be there!
Time will tell.
Thanks in advance.
