New project (like I need one)
When they talk about barn finds how about under the house finds.
Angru and I went and retrieved this 1950 Renault 4cv last weekend. It's been off the road since 1977, only done 50,000 miles and is 100% original. The back seat has never been sat on.
Comes with a shed load of parts, enough to build another one plus boxes full of brand new parts. Even brand new Michelin tyres.
The people were real Renault tragics and had collected boxes of mostly new parts and memorabilia.

More pics. Got it home and started unpacking boxes and boxes of Renault treasures.

i like the home grown weather shield on the drivers window ,

Not the car that lived on Glynns Road Warrandyte? Lost sight of it early 1970's but at one point Renault Australia had considered buying it back.

Would you like to sell that R8 bootlid badge and clips Dave?

What a cute little cutie!

That is properly cool, Dave.

Is that a crack free bakelite steering wheel? That would be absolutely mind blowing. I would drop everything and drool over that a little bit.

The only thing that would top that would be probably a Fiat 500 Abarth Assetto Corse in a similar state.

Funny you should say that. I had someone in a few years ago talking about a shed full of 500's somewhere in Melton. One was this weird one, white with red stripes and the bonnet couldn't shut.
He said he would get me the address but never did and I searched and searched but never found anything.

Personal belief, shot in the dark, more or less serious.

Game on! Let's crash Google maps.

Or, anyone here close to Melton?
I'm in Melton all the time and know lots of car people there. I've looked, asked and kept an ear out but no sign of them.
I'm starting to think the story might be a furphy but I'll never stop searching.

LOOKS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO MY FIRST, A 54 MODEL DELUXE
