pugjet,pugjet:
the only electrical problem i had with my 306 is that it had a tendency to go in and out of power steering whilst parking.
That's right for my car (2.0L 16v 100kw). Highway driving it comes down to 80-85, city driving it might go up to 90-95.Kristian:
I have been told 90deg engine temp, sound right?
ooops sorry, I should have explained that better. The problem pugjet is experiencing is completely unrelated and is definately not electrical... so it has nothing to do with your problem. The power steering in a 306 is hydraulic, not electric. It is driven by a pump which is driven by a belt drive from the engine. The ram is mounted on the sub-frame of the car, right in the centre, just in front of the firewall. The pump is just near the headlight on the driver's side of the car.Kristian:
Never heard of a hydraulic ram before what is it and what's it's purpose. Ie how would it effect the electrics?
.. you read my mind alan... hence why i asked him to do the light test that i wrote above. cheers chrisAlan S:
Just a thought, but have you had the voltage regulator checked?
