Don't worry RTT, it should be able to keep going if it does break in half

One less 12XL around the place, an Aussie 12 looking like an extra from Death Proof with its lobotomiesque treatment of the header rail and token roll bar.
It reminds me of the fleet of rental Renault 10s around Darwin years ago that were also given the gas-axe treatment.
Does anyone know this one:
Being RHD, the clear blue sky, and corrugated iron/Zincalum sheds I'm guessing this is in Aus/South Africa/Rhodesia somewhere. The seemingly total lack of any provision for a hood would probably exclude UK or NZ. (I believe they have what's known as 'rain' in UK/NZ). Were R12's sold in any other RHD markets.

Methinks there would need to be some serious reinforcing to the chassis/floor to stop the car bending in the middle. The door gaps are even so the chop would appear to be done correctly.
A soft-top or hard-top would be nice though.
Cheers

'Silly'? No one said it was silly.
Anyway, the Dacia even with a turbo might be trying to punch above it's weight that race.
A very ambitious try but it did come a credible second.
