Kalle Rovanpera. Still 21yo. In the points lead for WRC.
At this point, a high likelihood of being this years champ, and likely more to follow.
It's the most exciting thing in WRC for years.

Interestingly, Sebastian Loeb drove the first rally of the year, having only very occasional drives since his retirement 8 years ago, and won it.
The subsequently equally dominant Sebastian Ogier is now in semi retirement, after having won 8 titles vs Loeb's 9.
I am really surprised he didn't stay full time for this year to see if he could match that!

This year they back on manual gear leverage, too hard for the modern drivers, so maybe he prefer just part time job!
But I agree with you, surprised he didn't try to match Loeb, start thinking maybe think to try win the title in part time job,
in this case he would surpass Loeb for merit!
Cheers David.

Latvala said before the beginning of the season that he believed the new hybrid cars would be harder to drive on the limit than the previous cars

Ke Kalle, he has been sliding cars on ice and gravel since he was 8 years old. YouTube has some of those videos. Its been a while since the Finns had a dominant driver. It will be interesting to watch him.
