WIcked 205 Head under construction !

I really know nothing about how all this works. My use of the word swirl was really only in the normal layman sense not in the specific sense of Combutstion. Having said that, Warwick had a very similar shaped CC of which I have a photo if you need to see it, only his CC didn't have the metal in the center slowly tapering up at the edges, his was pretty much full height all the way, he claims to have gotten 130hp at the wheels with that mod and quite a few more, but that wasn't as stuffed with as peter's.

Can I ask which head you started with? the 60cc percomp chamber one or the 36cc one as they both fit.
The early block shallow dish pistons 2cc with late head 36cc gives 10.3:1
But dont ask the original computer to cope with the change especially if you use another cam and valves. You can also fit 2mm bigger vales there is no real schroulding problem.

AU-YT,
I have a low compression s1 engine (DFZ) and i have a wreck with a later xu9jaz (DKZ) engine. The DFZ has a compression ration of 8.4:1 and the DKZ has 9.18:1
Are you saying that if i put the later head (off the DKZ) onto the DFZ block i will end up with 10.3:1 compression??
The DFZ head and pistons look like this:

If it is possible it would be nice, as the DKZ has the larger valves aswell.
cheers,

Dave

I'd use the DKZ head rather than the DFZ. Valves are bigger and chamber is smaller. CC it yourself to be sure of the exact CR. The DKZ cam is also different to the DFZ cam. It has more lift and more duration.

Hi peter,
That was the plan to use the DKZ head on the DFZ block. I'm not worried about the cam as i already have a 420thou lift, 244deg at 50thou, ivan tighe cam and adjustable sprocket.
This is sounding good for the price of a set of head bolts.
Thanks for you help,

Dave
