What do you guys recommend for gearbox oil for the 306 BE3/6 box with an ATB diff? And where to source please.

Just normal oem gearbox oil. It doesn't need any friction modifiers like a clutch type LSD.

Thanks Peter. Good to know.
Do you know where one can get total oil? They seem to be specifically developed for PSA cars

I agree with Peter T. Factory spec 75W 80 is the best oil for BE type gearboxes whether they have an ATB or standard.

Totalenergies is principally owned by non-French shareholders, and PSA and Stellantis aren't among the large holders, if they hold any shares at all. It might have a small presence on our roads, but it is a gigantic organisation internationally.

I have pulled apart heaps of these things. A lot of which are used for racing.
I don't actually like the Redline oil, the consistency when cold is not great. We have stopped using it and just gone with the Penrite gearbox oil.
