Would anyone have a wiring diagram for 1980 Renault Virage/12. I can't seem to find any manuals that have circuit diagrams past the 1976 model and there are a number of differences in the 1980 circuit.
My problem is that on my car, there is a 56 ohm ballast resistor wired into the alternator circuit. (Doesn't have a separate regulator). One of the lugs has broken off the resistor and I'm hunting around for another one. Strangely, the car is running fine without the resistor so what does it do anyway. It's only a 5 - 10 watt resistor so isn't designed for a lot of current.
I'm happy to drive around without the resistor but I don't want to fry the alternator or some other component because the resistor isn't there.
