To all people who dont like my 306

davespug306:
You can all shut your mouths......Thats all I have to say, so up yours.
Pleased to meet you too, Junior.

Just a warning, virtually everyone on this site knows a hell of a lot more about automobiles that you evidently do, or probably ever will. They also have good manners wink By and large that is :D

Your car looks like it's all mouth and trousers, if you want my honest opinion (why else would you have posted a pic - surely you didn't expect only sycophants to comment wink )...

All mouth and trousers seems to sum you up rather nicely too, so far as I can surmise from your hysterical posts to date.

Cheers,
Mike

Well i guess i'm going to be the one to defend David.
Yes he may not have made the most diplomatic entrance to aussiefrogs, yes he may seem not to take any advice, but again it's his car and if he wants to work hard and put alot of time, money and effort into it to make it something different, he's allowed to.

I'm not saying the way he's replied to you all is right, far from it, but i do think that he's probably pissed off having to read what others think, especially OZ pug owners that tend to cringe at the very thought of modifying a french car.
A few years ago it was daunting going to a PCCV meeting in a 405, the very few FWD pug owners in attendance were literally treated as outcasts by many of the other members, now things are different, with more FWD pugs, comes acceptance.
And in time it'll be the same with non-standard pugs.
I've had a hard time finding aftermarket parts for my pug, but slowly things are changing.
Some pug owners are even interested in finding out more about the car, the very same people that earlier didn't even want to acknowledge that it was a pug.
If there are more modded pugs out there it's not a bad thing, it'll attract a wider market, people that normally wouldn't even consider owning a french car will put it on their potential list.

But I too dont like seeing outrageous, over the top mods, but i dont think David's car is too outrageous compared to some of the *things* that come out of France and Belgium.
You all have a right to comment on David's car, afterall he's put pics of it on his website, that invites us to discuss it....and yes, I do like David's car.
I think the kit may be a bit wild but knowing the sort of qaulity of kits Esquiss Auto produce i think it's money well spent, it's not going to fall too easily.

David, the only thing i suggest is to do what you want with your car...but if you're going to post here maybe be a bit more reserved with what you say.
Afterall it's more of a community here and an outsider coming in with all guns blazing isn't going to get much support.
As i mentioned in one of my emails, the pug culture here is different.

Feel free to abuse me, afterall you too have the right to express your opinion.
Just dont take things personally if there's a disagreement, if it gets out of hand the thread will be closed.

Andreas

Well said, Andreas.

A bit of tolerance for difference on the one hand and a bit less agro on the other is what is called for here!

Cheers

I think Dave has illustrated the reason why Asterix and his mates dug that channel....Dave have you considered buying a Lada Samara???

Noone is getting my R19 auto. You'd all love to have it I know. Whats all this stuff about a hotted up Peugeot 306? So what if the guy wants to hot up a 306. That magazine "revs" from the UK, is basically a soft porno mag. The pictures in it make "fast fours' look like a Enid Blyton kids novel. There are a lot of nice hotted up pugs about Sydney. A very nice black one I see about every now & then...

Is that a black 306, with big chrome wheels ?

If so. I've seen it too. Looks nice.

As for Dave, well, lets just say that some people should be seen, not heard.

A "Fanny Magnet"? I could imagine would be a strong attractant to this "gentleman" with the way he talks and carries on. Just as a steel magnet would attract a big piece of steel, a "Fanny Magnet" would attract a big ??????????
Pity he comes across as such an abusive, up him self spoilt brat with a bad attitude that should have been kicked out of him whilst he was at high school, as I have no doubt that he could have been a handy & welcome contributor on this board once he showed just a little bit of maturity. But on the brighter side, could you imagine being the poor bugger that T boned his car at an intersection   eek! evil
You're still welcome on here Dave ol' son, it's just that if you don't want to be treated like a dead shit, don't act like one :D
