The Wobbles

Hi Everyone,

I own a 205 GTi, and lately it's started to wobble and shake when I go around left hand corners. I recently got the left-hand driveshaft replaced to try and solve the problem, but it still does it. Changing the wheels around doesn't make a difference either.

You can feel the car wobbling and the gear stick wobbles left and right.

Does anyone know what's wrong? We can't seem to find whats causing it. :confused:

I'd be inclined to go with Peter on teh engine mount although my first reaction was a possibility that a drive shaft hadn't been pushed in so as to snap over the circlip which can also sometimes tend to give the same symptoms although if a new driveshaft has been fitted, that really shouldn't be an issue; unless of course if whoever fitted the driveshaft didn't seat it home either. :confused:

I had a similar problem with my R18 wagon, it was the right hand wheel bearing. it felt like drive shafts & really surprised me, as wheel bearings usually feel very different. cheers!
