Hi All,
My 205 with a RFV engine seems to hit the limiter at 6000 rpm. (It runs out of go at 80 kph in 2nd - 1.85:1 with a 4.429:1 final drive on 175/65/R14s).
The Haynes book "Peugeot and Citroen Engine Management Systems" seems to pretty clearly indicate that the injectors cut out at 6500 rpm.
Could it be cutting out at 6000 rpm because it is in some sort of "limp home" mode? Or because I am using a SI (1.6L) fuel pump? Or is it just that different cars came with different limits? (My ECU is from a '99 306 Auto Convertible).
Regards,
Michael
