Looks like a clio from the front

Is there a specific web site to see whats on display in frankfurt?

IAA - Internationale Automobilaustellung

Most manufacturers have their own sites with webcams, etc. For example, on the Volvo site, you can tell the reporter where to go with her camera and ask her questions live.

If you can understand German, the German sites of the various manufacturers are great.

Thanks for the link!

I did say it looked like a clio from the front! The rest obviously doesn't look anything like one, but if you came at it head on it would be hard to tell the differance from a distance! Not that thats a problem, i actually quiet like the looks of a clio, espetially the sport!

That Frankfurt main website isnt that easy actually
Citroen has their own cameras on their site too.

I think I'd have to agree with Europa here. Having had enough Mégane 3 and 5 door's in the rear view mirror, and enough Clios and Clio sports.. the front end is pretty different. The light shape is different, the angle of the bonnet.. and the rest too.. hmm. Put them side by side once they are on sale in Oz and you wont think they look the same anymore.

You all make good points, but no matter which way u look at it they both look great and i cannot wait for it to come out, wow Turbo 2.0 16V 225bhp 300Nm, 18" wheels, Twin center rear exhausts, 312mm front discs, 300mm rear discs. 4 piston front calipers and performance figures of 6.5 seconds 0-100km/h how much is this thing going to cost, should give a Aussi spec wrx a beating.

well done Renault

I think from the side it looks like a 307 a bit. And the rear looking backwards...Very nice cant wait for it to arrive.

Does anyone know if they will bring the Megane Sport to OZ ?
be awesome if they do.

I hope they bring them all out here instead of just a convertible..

another site for Frankfurt Motorshow worth checking out http://www.supercars.net

All the pics they show are Renault press pics. Check my site in my first posting for the full range of pics Renault press has released. I'll be going to Frankfurt to the show on either Friday or possibly next Tuesday for my own look and to take my own pics. Will put them on my site when I'm back.

These are very nice big pics.
Where did you actually get the Renault Press pics?
Did you download it from somewhere or thru other means?

Thanks.

I have access to their press site.

Oh, and the original pics are usually at least 1mb, and are like 3000x2500 resolution. The ones on my site are just resized by the web album software.

Pricing could be a little difficult for this hot hatch. If my hunch is correct, this would positioned against subaru wrx, honda integra type R, forester GT, + the usual ford and holden offerings, and may come off second best.

Wait and see...
In France, the prices for normal Meganes go as follows:
5 door (berline): 15150 to 23650 euro
3 door (coupé): 14700 to 23200 euro
4 door and wagon) (saloon and break): 16200 to 24250 euro

The Clio Sport is 21950 euro, and then about 35000 in Oz, so maybe we might look at 45-50k for a Megane Sport. I'd think closer to 45k as it will be based on the 3 and 5 door versions.

To be totally fair, you'd probably need to compare the prices to a WRX wagon, as the RS Megane II is a hatchback.

From the specs I've seen, the WRX STi beats it in performance (although the difference on a slippery road would be far greater I should think!)
