Was out tooling around on my mountain bike round Perth yesterday, and saw one of the local public transport system buses with a HUGE diamond badge on the front! Cool.
A bus company "King Bros" have several of the Renault busses in their fleet. They operate up and down the Pacific Hwy near our place. Also now that Renault owns a big chunk of Mack Trucks I quite often see the big diamond on the front of some semi's. The prime mover is the same shape as a Mack except for the diamond cheers! .
To be honest, buses are usually made by a coachbuilder who then fits a motor company's running gear and equipment. Those same bus bodies you see in the above link I know also run Mercedes Benz, MAN and other brands of engines as well.
Renault do make their own busses.. but that one in the picture certainly isnt one of them.
Renault Bus is a link that shows some. As it says, Berliet and Saviem were combined to be Renault V.I (Véhicules Industriels) in 1978. In combination with IVECO and a further formed company, IRISBUS they then make good looking, Renault designed (as you can see familiar similarity with even the Master, Trafic and the Renault V.I. fleet (www.renaultvi.com).
