Hi guys,

Im taking the clio for burn at Eastern Creek, has anybody got any suggestions at what pressures I should run with the standard Michelins?

I was thinking 38psi.

Cheers
Parry

I run my michies at 38, but it's a 205 (small weight difference, surely..). The trackday folk say to run 40 to be "safe" and prevent tripping, but you lose grip and a RCS wouldn't possibly trip at 38.

I say yes to 38.

RCS in the NM2A.... that should be fun! What happened to Pug?

Parry pressures depend on the make, ask the manufacturer.
For eg. Toyos perform best around 39~41PSI hot. Yokies and Khumo's prefer 34~36PSI hot. Thats in 14's. Different profile may require different pressure.

I ran 40psi cold in a Xsara VTS with OE Pilot SX's at Wakefield and they were fine. Rears went mushy after about a dozen laps or so, but should be OK if you're just doing three lap sprints. When you going to the Creek? Wanna practice run at Wakefield next Wednesday? I'm planning to be there. Hee Hee!

With the Preceda road tyres, I used to pump up the pressures by around 6psi both fronts & rears ~38psi. A couple of psi more on the front wheels than the rears was my personal preference.
