...... in short terms, yes. But make sure you have 3 arms. two hands on each arm and a mental-telthapy active twin to help you out.
(Unless its the brake pistons you are refering to), i suggest ANY bottom end engine work should be performed with the engine out.---- chris.

The head will have to come off,the piston will not go right down the bore because the main bearing web and crankshaft will get in the way.
At least with a 203 engine it's not difficult to prevent the sleeves moving when you do this job. And yes, it may be best to take the engine out, but not totally necessary.
