Help Needed,
I have 2011 Peugeot 508 1,6HDI(9HR), Replaced engine due to cam(timing) belt failure, Now Im unable to start the engine and stalling every time crank,it will stay couple of second and stop. THANKS

Is the replacement engine exactly the same as the one it replaced?
Are the injectors exactly the same in both engines?
Changed the fuel filter and bleed the fuel supply?
Did the donor engine run?

Yes, that would be a trap that could be easily overlooked. The cam lobes are shrunk onto the shaft rather than ground from a single piece like most older camshafts.

Aftermarket parts example. I think the cam may be single piece and not a composite item.

Hi David ,
Yes exactly the same engine and 9hr code. I didnt remove Injectors from engine and i belive its same, on top all identical.also deleted old injector codes and registered new injector codes to engine ecu.
Fuel filter new and only used top part from old filter housing.

Donor engine bought from some one else and physically not seen it runs.

Thanks

If it starts and runs briefly, my instinct is a fuel problem. David mentioned bleeding out air.
