I have a 2011 Peugeot 308 which has done about 70K and have the timing chain and water pump replaced couple of years ago under warranty. My car does only short runs of 15 minutes max per trip.
Of late the Engine Fault repair required message has started appearing. The first time it happened I took it to a Peugeot specialist and they could not find out what caused it.After few weeks it appeared again.Since the engine was running smoothly and petrol consumption was within in normal limits,I ignored it.The fault disappeared after driving it around for about 30 minutes.Today it came back on again but disappeared after a 30 minutes drive. But this time around while starting the engine light takes a bit longer to go off.It goes off only after the engine has run for about 30 secs.Any idea what could be causing it?
