I have a pair of front dampers off my old 306 XSi. I believe they are the original units, oil filled not gas. Were working fine when I removed them. Although they had about 260,000 Kay's on them they still seem good. Are stamped with 'peugeot'.

Free to pick up in Sydney (2068) if anyone needs them.

As long as these aren't leaking they will work better than anything you can buy. They will fit a 205 Si as well.
 
Nobody tempted? I'll take them if postage isn't too over the top.

I can certainly look into it for you Graham. Is there any test I could do at home to make sure they are still functioning well? Before I waste your time and post em down
 
Just make sure they aren't leaking and there is no sideplay.

Will check. Lastly, I believe that when compressed they don't bounce back like normal gas struts? These stay compressed. There's definitely no leaks.
