Peugeot 306 cabriolet soft top roof problem

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a 306 Cabriolet, but there is a problem with the roof. When I try to put it down it folds back but does not drop all the way into the boot compartment. I followed this page (http://www.peugeotlogic.com/workshop/wshtml/306cab/cabrio_13.htm#article), but realised that the elastic straps were gone. Not sure if they have snapped at some point and have not been replaced.

Would anyone have any details on the run from start to finish for the elastic straps or be able to provide images please?

The ones they say prevent the roof from falling completely down into the compartment are between bows 3 and 4.
I found a couple of images, one shows a strap in situ and the other where bows 3 and 4 are.
There are other straps as well but it seems these two (between 3 and 4) are the critical ones for your problem. Maybe you could experiment with a couple of ocky straps to get an idea of the tension required before you buy any product.
