In this case the problem is the windows don't work.
Previous owner had the stereo stolen and the wiring disturbed , after that the windows didn't work.

The window motor works on the driver side as i took the trim off to check
There is power going to the switch on the console but nothing gets to the door.
I tied another switch out of a 206 but the fuse blows so i wonder if there is a short in the wiring and the original switch is burnt out from when the vandals cut the wiring ?
I have had a good look at the wiring but can't see the damaged area, yet.

*My thoughts are to cut the wiring from the switch and put new good wiring in, rather than fiddle with the existing wiring.
Does any body have a very basic wiring diagram for the switch to the window?
The switch seems to change the polarity of the motor depending on the direction it operates in?

The manual i have doesn't tell me what colours come out of the switch.
Switch-five wires, two violet, two grey, earth power. On the 206CC
Is there anything between the switch and the motor?

Thanks

I am told the window motor is different on the 206CC in that the power goes through the BSI after the switch.
Seems as well the switch is different ?
Any one know?

Yes the switch is different (cc only) and very prone to playing up. Not sure if the motor is different but the regulator is very different.

Any way of testing the switch without buying a new one?

Do they fail on one side or both windows and is it just age?
