Oil bath air filters with EFI ?

Has anyone ever seen the traditional Peugeot oil bath filter used on series 2 505's with Bosch efi ? Maybe the possibility of oil spray is not a good mix with the delicate MAF sensor ? I'm told the washable K & N filters that get re-oiled can coat the sensor also. I can easily find an oil bath from a 604 which would aid getting an intake pipe in front of the radiator.

i put an oil bath from a 504 onto a 604 once but i have never seen one from new have one

I have used a K&N aftermarket filter on my car for nearly 12,000's. Not 1 problem. Admittedly i use ONLY the K&N cleaning kit, which includes the supposed special oil.
Even if normal oil was used i don't know how it could effect the sensors, remebering that the return head breather pipe sometimes under pressure put oil into the breathing/intake pipes. It might make em dirty and effect the readings at most? wha do you all think. - chris
