ewww, why destroy that beautiful shape of the 306 with that purple monstrosity? Wheels would have been enough.

wink

Yup, I agree there. I think the Diablo Red looked good to start with but that purple is a bit.... well... awful.

everyone has a right to their own opinion, and...I like it.
I'm going to cop it when i post new pics of my car soon arent i? eek! :D

Andreas

Did you rice-ify?

I think it is impressive...yet over the top for what I think French cars stand for, being a fairly quiet achiever.

The many 1000's of pounds he spent should have gome somewhat more into the engine in my opinion. There is nothing worse than being in a fast looking car and having your doors blown off by a peice of c$#p that looks slow.

Well apparently he has or is about to.
On his site he mentions 260bhp via a turbo conversion.
Should be fun. :D

And yes, my car is about to be hit with bags full of rice!!! eek!
But nothing too bad, i ditched my really ricey plans.

Andreas

How is it going to cope with over 300BHP to the front wheels? Would be interesting. We must have missed out on the 3dr XSi, it looks like a GTi6 (when it was standard that is).

yeah we only got the 5 dorr XSi.
it wont get any traction but it'll still be fun.

Andreas

I've got mixed reactions to that. I like the widebody kit (Dimma jobbie by the looks) but I don't like the rest. The colour is a bit much.

Hey Andreas, where did u get that Avatar? I LOVE it. :D eek! If you've got a vid clip of Panizzi giving it large I'd love a copy.

Cheers
Izza

Andreas, can't wait for your car! I don't mind cars with kits etc, and i trust the 306 guy will do his turbo conversion, i've been following his site since i purchased my car about a year and a half ago and at that time he had no body kit or anything really, just wheels. I don't think the pictures do his paint job justice! Like all pearl paints, you really need to see it in the flesh

wish i had the funds for a widebody kit!

Yeah, its cool, but I'm not a fan of the purple or the extra vent on the bonnet.

however, it could be far worse, as can be seen of this 206 which has been converted into a shopping trolly...

That is blashphemy.

I would hope the 306 XSI has the better drivetrain of the GTI.

OMG it's incredible what you can do to a perfectly good looking car...

I like subtle kits that accentuate the original lines of a car, or make it a tad more aggresive whilst looking stock-ish. I like Andreas' kit from the pics I've seen - tasteful.

I reckon if the 306 pictured was in a better colour (say a deep gloss black) and the rear spoiler was ditched, along with any bonnet vents, front splitters, eyebrows etc... it might look OK. Then put on some wheels that have a sense of purpose (like some lightweight racing items) instead of tacky chrome 25Kg a pop fashion accessories. If the proper wheels were there covering some 6 pot AP racing calipers or 4 pot Brembos - I might like it a bit better too.

Anyway...

One thing I found humourous and ironic is the guy's spelling mistake!

"With the engine at standard performance this car produces about 137 Bhp, I plan to have an engine CONVERSATION, which will consist of a turbo charger, which will easily produce about 267 Bhp, but I am possibly going to go higher maybe about 350 Bhp."

So he's going to talk about making it go faster... LOL :)

See I reckon this looks a whole lot better, just get rid of the lairy green and yellow colour scheme and you have a winner..

Doesn't seem to need a big rear wing - even at track speeds... funny that!

do you mean pics you've seen of my car, cos i dont have a kit on at the moment?
or have i told you what i'm getting?

i'm sure there'll be a few that wont like my car in a few months.
either way i dont care....it's my car and i've got to live with it. :D

Andreas

I couldnt agree more. Subtelty is what I always considered Equropean cars to be about.
M3- no wings from a car speed limited to 250kms/hr
M5 - as above,
F355 - as above
Audi S4 - as above

I tend to like cars that a quiet achievers. Even the new Holden Coupe looks so much better without the rear wing. Funny how general has dropped that wing from all ads lately for the Coupe.

If you like Black Pugs you actually might like my 306. Peugeot colour name: "BLACK"

Subtlety is totally the way to go. I am a firm believer that any modification is waranted if it improves an aspect of the cars performance. Girl friends are generally more accepting of cars modifications they dont know about !!!!!!

I have see plenty of over the top 306's around but that was wasome. The colour was great and that wide body kit looks plenty agressive . I dont think that the kit hides tha shape of the 306 at all.

LOL Andreas - well in that case it's very subtle :) I've only seen pics of your car...

Hey dude, I have no prob with what people like to do with their cars... even I like a little bit of kit here and there, and a little chrome etc..

Once I even had a massive MUGEN sticker on a Volkswagen, although that was a pisstake. I copped sneers and laughs from the Honda crowd, then to their misfortune they realised it weighed 900kg and had 160hp! :) Muhahah!

James - these are true words of wisdom :)

The best one is convincing your G/F that the suspension isn't firmer, it's just in her imagination :)
