Im mad about pugs ive had about 15 so far.
I found this forum and hope to chat to others that are as nuts about pugs as
i am. Im also after some help as i have a pug 405 1.6 and am looking at fitting a 406 2.0ltr 8 valve turbo lump in and wondered if anyone knows if it will fit in and what is needed

Welcome to Aussiefrogs.

Unfortunately I can't give you much help, although we do have a few ex and current 405 owners around. There isn't much of a 406 knowledge base present here unfortunately and do bear in mind we didn't receive the petrol turbo 406.

I'm sure someone will be able to give you some advice though.

406 motor isn't too different from the 405 Mi16 motor, so should slot in without too much hassle. As for accommodating the turbo, from memory the 405 engine bay is quite tight.

You would be better served getting hold of a Mi16 motor and dropping it in without the hassle of a turbo.

I suspect similar gains in power!
