Thanks to depreciation, the price differential isn't anywhere near $10k anymore .. when I was Pug-shopping last year:
new 206 GTi: $32500 on road, high demand, no deals
near new 306 GTi6: '00 model, perfect nick, 25k kms, 2 year Pug warranty extension (total almost 2.5 yrs left), $35000 incl on-roads.
Phasis: the ones I'm talking about are the explosive ones that go off with the airbags. i.e. another feature you hope you'll never need
