Does anyone know how to release the brakes and get the auto box out of Park, WITHOUT the key system being available?

If it's the same as a Citroen C5, there is an auto brake release cable in the rear of the centre console.

For the AM6, if you remove the trim around the gear change stick there is a solenoid pin that retains Park. If the 508 is like this, the how-to for each has been posted. In the pic it's front, driver's side.

Thanks Sealink, but my 508 hasn't got the handle!!! OR anything like it in the console space. Any other ideas from Pugites?
