Hi, my 1999 cabriolet 306 roof pump will run but won’t activate the roof, I replaced a hose for the rear window and when I tried raising or lowering the roof I hear the pump run but nothing happens, it’s full of oil and everything works manually fine. Any ideas as to why. Thanks for any help

Normally need to bleed hydraulic systems
There is probably air in the line and this is just getting compressed. So nothing works
Don't know how the Peugeot system works but normally crack open a fitting or bleed valve to let air out.
If unsure take to mechanic as hydraulics under pressure are dangerous

You could try putting the roof trough the emergency closing and opening procedure a couple of times. That should bleed any trapped air out of the system. Should be in your owners manual if you need the instructions.
Check the roof pop switch in the join just above your head in the join on the drivers side wiring normally breaks
Ok, thanks for that I’ll give it a try over the weekend, stay tuned but it can’t be much as it was working fine till I replaced the hose. Thanks again
