Can't forget the most legendary Alpine of them all:

<img src="http://membres.lycos.fr/a310passion/02-800x600-web.jpg" alt=" - " />

And on this Japanese website:
<a href="http://www.antea.com/antea/antea-1-10-2f.htm" target="_blank">http://www.antea.com/antea/antea-1-10-2f.htm</a>

I found these:

<img src="http://www.antea.com/quicksilver/aa310/aa310-01.jpg" alt=" - " />

<img src="http://www.antea.com/quicksilver/aa310/aa310-19.jpg" alt=" - " />

And on this page:
<a href="http://www.alpine-sport.com/photos.htm#a610" target="_blank">http://www.alpine-sport.com/photos.htm#a610</a>

I found this racing version of an A610:

<img src="http://www.alpine-sport.com/images/a610/a610_gt.jpg" alt=" - " />

And this very nice A310 (which is on quite a few other pages too, as some of you would know):

<img src="http://www.alpine-sport.com/images/a310/a310_0.jpg" alt=" - " />

These pages are cool too:

Love your Work Fiveohs

Theres some awesome pic's on thoes web sites

and up there too ^

I love the alpine. Very nice Renault. I saw one in France when I was there last year. It looked like a wreck though.
The 1994 Alpine was very nice.

Guys fill me in, was the Alpine a model of Renault?? or was it an off shoot like HSV is to Holden, was it related to any other car/s.
I've only seen limited info/ pics of these senstional cars (which look like Edonis Mk3 of the late 80's.)
Is there a replacement model too.
tx and great pics too.

Alpine was to Renault, what Lotus used to be to Ford. It was a sportscar manufacturer based in Dieppe, Normandy, who used mostly Renault components for their cars. The original Alpine A106 of the 1950s was based on Renault 4CV (750) components, the A108 of the early 60's was based on Renault Dauphine components, the A110 on R8/R16/R12 components, the early A310 used the R17 Gordini engine and gearbox, etc.

In 1973, Reanult took a major share in Alpine, and in 1977 Renault took complete control of Alpine, and later Alpine Renaults became known as Renault Alpines. The GTA for example (which was mostly developed by Renault engineers) was called the Renault Alpine GTA, or just plain Renault GTA in the UK (where Peugeot held the rights to the Alpine name, because they bought Rootes/Chrysler which used to make the Sunbeam Alpine).

The Dieppe factory was also used to make the mid engined R5 Turbo, the front engined R5 turbos, the Renault Espace and later the Renault Sport Spider.

In 1991 the restyled and re-engineered GTA was renamed the Alpine A610 and received an Alpine badge rather than a Renault one, to try and increase the prestige of the model, but sales remained poor and production was stopped on this last of the alpines in 1994, although stocks did not sell out for another year or so.
