heater control 205

hey,
i own a 89 205gti and my heater control doesn't work and therefore heater as well. i was just looking for any info as to what has broken and how to fix it.

also my central locking doesn't work. all fuses found in glove box seem to be fine

Is your 205 a series 1 or 2 ?.Series 2 has rotary heater control switches
