Just wondering if i had to put some metho into my fuel tank what type of affects would i get, i know the car will run alot better but i was just wondering what would some of the side affects

I know putting a bit of metho in was a favoured technique for dealing with water in the tank, back in the old days in rural Australia , immy, but I personally wouldn't be expecting your car to run "alot better" as a result.

Otherwise everyone would be doing it!

Afraid I don't know what the down side would be.

Apparently there was another additive which I talked to jr20516v about when we went on the Mt Glorious cruise. He said it made a big difference and was very cheap when bought in bulk.

Given that it's just alcohol, I'd say it would make no difference at all. It apparently emulsifies with water, goes through the fuel system, then burns, hence its use to remove water.
