Need some wiring info for 1960 HK500 facel vega. Cant get gas gauge to work. Bought new gauge and fuel sender unit but wiring in the car has been all messed up by someone in the past. Need pics of fuel level gauge and sending unit wiring. New Jaeger gauge does not have terminals on the back labeled and don't know which is which for 12 volt pos, ground, and which terminal for wire to sender. Is this the gauge and sender kit you bought?
IE with a modern style replacement sender?
Also does your new gauge have an insulated washer on one terminal like this Jaeger gauge does?

Try and test with a small battery, say 6V. Maybe a button cell is best as they can not deliver high enough currents to damage anything. Ground would be connected to the case and positive and feed should have some insulating washers like in the picture above. Connect to various terminals, see what happens.
